May 2007, The White Settlement Fire Department received a new 2007 Pierce Contender Fire Engine. It will be designated as engine #2 and is already in service. Its pump will move 1500 GPM, and boasts an onboard 750 gallon water tank, Raised cab, Roll up doors, LED light package, Front booster tray, 400 HP Cummins Diesel engine, Side mount pump panel, Roll out trays and much more...Engine 2 will replace a 25 year old 1982 E-0ne Cyclone pumper. The truck cost approximately $250,000.
