On June 7th, 2004, for the 2nd time in 4 years White Settlement Texas experienced what has been called a 100 year flood. Residents along Farmers Branch Creek suffered over 20 million dollars worth of damage. Rain was falling at the rate of 6 inches per hour. The fire department was in Emergency Management Operations for the 3rd time in one week as was kept busy responding to high water rescues and evacuations.
