At approximately 7:10 PM Sunday night, Sept 16, the White Settlement Fire Department received a call from PD that a car was on fire just inside the main gate at Beacon Hill Apartments in the 1400 block of south Las Vegas trail in the city. Engine 3 with Lt. Chris Harrell, and firefighters, Mc Donald, Hale, and Gage arrived on scene to find a large crowd of onlookers as a maroon Dodge was fully involved with the fire coming from the engine compartment. The fire was quickly extinguished. The car appears to be a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
