Mid morning Saturday, Nov 13, the White Settlement Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 9100 block of Farmer Rd. FD received several calls reporting this fire. Units arrived to find a one story frame residence with smoke showing. The fire broke out on the patio in the back of the residence. A neighbor who was in his own back yard at the time,  described an explosion as the electric service line was severed from the home and drew his attention to the fire. The resident and his very helpful neighbor had water hoses on the fire until the fire department arrived.

The fire had spread to the attic in a very short time. FD units were able to pull the ceiling in the kitchen area and extinguish the fire in the attic. Cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries.
