June 24th of this year Fire units responded to 804 June to find smoke coming from a 1 story brick veneer residence. C2, Jack Bell took command of the scene and directed the firemen through the garage. Upon entering they immediately found the clothes dryer to be on fire. They quickly extinguished the fire and began a clean up operation. Flame damage to the residence was minimal, however heavy soot  from the smoke would keep the occupants from staying in their home. 5 people were displaced. It was determined that a dirty lint trap in the dryer prevented proper ventilation and caused the fire.
