The White Settlement Fire Department was summoned to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of south Roe in the city. At approximately 11:15 Sunday night, Feb 12 tone went out summoning the volunteer force. Bn Chief Tim Ellis was first on and reported fire showing  from a well involved one story frame residence. Shortly after his arrival, pump 3 with Firemen Aaron Marquez, Robert McDonald, Mike Cochrane and Brian Thompson reported to be on scene. Pump 1 laid a line to a hydrant located near by. Less than one minute after their arrival Pump 3 began a 3 man attack into the residence with a big booster. Other firemen from pump 1 used a red line on the SUV parked in the driveway.

Other units were quick to follow. They were Quint 1 and Utility 1. The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes after the arrival of the first fighting unit. Units were on until after 1 AM overhauling the scene.

All 3 residents got out safely. Red Cross was called to assist the displaced residents. The home suffered extensive damage, and the SUV was totaled.  No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
