Monday night May 31st &Tuesday morning June 1, 2004, White Settlement Texas, along with the rest of the metro-plex area, suffered property damage from high winds. Fire Department dispatcher Chris Harold received approximately 100 calls reporting downed power lines, tree fires, transformer fires, Overblown 18 wheelers, and medical emergencies. Units were ordered into Emergency management operations by C2 Jack Bell just before the storm hit the city. Fire units were dispersed into sectors in the city and were kept busy past dawn the next morning. Some of the families of busy firemen gathered at the fire hall for safety.
