This fire took place early on a crisp Sunday morning in May of 2002. At Approximately 6:45 AM the White Settlement Fire Department received noticed of a residential structure fire at 216 West Place. Units responded quickly after receiving tone and arrived to find this residence fully involved with heavy smoke and fire showing. A total of 26 personnel responded to this incident. The first fire fighters on scene were fireman Barry Stuard, Lt. Tim Ellis and firefighter Kyle Burns. Tim Rawlings was Engineer on Pump 3. They found this 3-bedroom residence fully involved with heavy flame and smoke. Once the hoses were charged with water, command made the decision to attack the fire internally. The 3 brave firemen mentioned above made entry through the front door and swept the entire residence from front to rear in about 7 minutes.
