In 2002 the city of White Settlement built a firefighters pavilion honoring the spirit of volunteerism of firefighters past. A gracious stone was engraved and erected naming all the charter members of the 1949 White Settlement Volunteer Fire Department. Inside the Pavilion is a special plague in honoring Bob Cooke. He is the only firefighter in the cities history having died in the line of duty. He died after fighting a house fire on January 8, 1969.

The pavilion is located approximately 150 feet north west of the fire hall and has become a welcome place of relaxation for firemen and their families.
